Eutychian During the persecutions by Diocletian, the records of the papacy of St. Eutychian (275-283) were destroyed. Little, therefore, is known of him. He was a Tuscan, and he was the last pope buried in the papal crypt in the cemetary of Callixtus. Legend says that he personally buried 242 martyrs.
