Just today I was watching For Greater Glory and learned of the life of Fr. Christobal Magallanes and his becoming a Saint. Because I am married to a Mexican lady whose Father's name was Alexandro Magallanes born in Durango in 1928 and her grandfather was Julian Magallanes, date and place of birth unknown, I am wondering if she could be a great grand niece of San Christobal.
I have read the biographical information on San Christobal but there is no mention of siblings. Of course if he was an only child possibly there is a connection further back which might make her a distant cousin. Having been educated as a historian and done some research on my own family, I am interested to know myself. My wife is a very saintly person herself and I wonder if it runs in the genes(just joking).
