St. Poemen (Pimen) the Great

Facts

I was called Prince of the Desert, and Chief of Solitaries. My birth came in Kemet. I have two brothers, Anub and Paes with others and my brothers, we became monks in the Scete desert.
Bedouins drove us out however. So we took up residence at the temple of Terrnuth. We moved to Diolchus, when my brother Anub died, I became abbot of the community. The Scete life started to become lax. I renewed it. I died in 451
A.D. 27 Aug, Roman Rite.
