Martyred bishop in China. A native of Catalonia, Spain, Peter entered the Dominicans in 1697 and was sent to the Pacific. In 712 he arrived in the Philippines and then went to China the following year. Nominated a vicar apostolic in 1730, he later became the titular bishop of Mauricastro. Arrested by anti-Christian forces in 1746, he was imprisoned and finally beheaded. He was beatified in 1893.
