Dominican martyr. A Spaniard, he entered the Dominicans and devoted his time to preaching to the heretics, including the Albigensians, in the area around Urgell, Spain. A group of heretics stoned him to death.

What the article does not mention is that Pere de la Cadireta was an Inquisitor. He faught heretics and had them killed, he unearthed the remains of possible heretics and had them burned and their ashes scattered... Who would not stone him?
The Gospel says: Be merciful like your Father in heaven is merciful. He makes the sun shine on those who love him and those who hate him... Pere de la Cadireta was a man of his days... he did not imitate our Father in heaven.
