i just found out about saint Adjutor and was amazed by his story and prayed to him at my last meet and i did great i thank saint Adjutorfor all his help with my swimming and will pray to him for help in my next meet
St. Adjutor is the saint I'm choosing for my conformation name. can someone help me out and tell me how to pronounce it?
I've been doing Master's swimming for the past year & a half; swam in my first meet last weekend (never had done anything like this before -- I'm age 50!), Now I know who I will ask for guidance from at my next meet -- whenever that is -- a saint I can identify with!. Yes, one reason he's the patron of swimmers is because he was able to escape (from Muslim captors) by swimming away!.
I'm a casual swimmer and recently discovered St. Adjutor. It would be nice to know more. Especially, now that the children and others are preparing for summer...smile.
Hes the saint of swimmers because he had to swim home from just escaping muslims, diane!
how do you pronounce his name because i was hoping to use it for conformation.
I had read on another site that he had blessed a fleet on their way to fight the crusades. The ship had been attacked and the sailors were not drowned. He is also the patron saint of sailors and drowning victims.
Why is this Saint, the patron saint of swimmers? The article didn't say why.
