African martyr during the persecution of the Church under Emperor Trajanus Decius. With a group of Christians, Numidicus was burned at the stake in Carthage, although there is a tradition that he somehow managed to survive the ordeal. After being dragged from the ashes at the site of his execution and found to still be alive, he went to be ordained by St. Cyprian of Carthage.

Saint Numidicus pray for us all; pray for our earth and that she pass this trial by global warming as you passed your trial by martyrs's fire; pray for all the nations of Africa and Peace in their realms, and all the nations of the world and joy at their tables, and all the churches of the world and tolerance in their stables of thought, word and deed, Amen Hallelujah
