Also, St. Lassara was put in charge (made the abbess) of a community of holy virgins, as stated in the Life of St. Finnian.

There is an article about this saint on a site called 'Under the Oak.' St. Lassara was said to have been very pious. According to legend, one day she left her cell and went to St. Finnian at Clonard and spent time there in his monastery, praying and studying, but later she was sent to his sister's convent, St. Regnait. When she felt homesick and desired to return to her own place an angel came to them and lifted her off the ground and carried her to her cell. Her name means 'flame' and it is possible that, like saint brigit, pagan tradition and the cult of the saint may have gotten mixed up. She is rather obscure though anyway.

I need to know more about this Saint. I need to know how she became a Saint and when. All that stuff.
