Three martyrs who were slain over a period of two years. Timothy was the bishop of Gaza, Israel, and was burned alive in 304 by order of Urban, the governor of Palestine. Thecla was thrown into an arena with wild animals; and Agapius was imprisoned for two years then exposed to wild animals. When a bear wounded him but did not kill him, he was hurled into the sea.
