Catholics celebrate the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 14, 2010) - Pope Benedict XVI will beatify Cardinal John Henry Newman on Sept. 19 - the last day of the Pope's visit to the United Kingdom. Organizers expect a crowd approaching 70,000 - including as many as 1,000 priests - to attend the beatification ceremony, which will be held in Birmingham's Crofton Park.
