Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
A New Alcoholism And Drug Rehab Program That Guarantees Permanent Success

What is the problem with the willpower and behavior modification approaches for being able to PERMANENTLY end an addiction? And why in the 12 step programs do the participants have to keep saying that they are "recovering" and "I've been clean and sober for x years"? Why do they assume as part of their basic philosophy that recovery is a process that will never end?
But the better question would be: is it possible to permanently end recovery and become an EX alcoholic or addict? I say that yes it is possible. But in my own accomplishment of permanent recovery from addictions I found that there is one key ingredient that is missing both from the 12 step movements and the traditional rehab movements and psychology approaches, which is why they aren't able to assure the result of "permanent" recovery. But before I tell you what that ingredient is, let me tell you my personal story of how I tried nearly everything else first to end my addictions, but with no success.
As a former member of some top name bands, including Sly and the Family Stone (recently named by MSNBC as one of the top 10 bands of all time and specially honored at the 2006 Grammy Awards), I lived and worked around a lot of drug and alcohol abuse. For years I too regularly used drugs and alcohol, at first out of curiosity and in response to peer pressure, but eventually to fit in with my peers and to try to elevate my moods and escape my inner and outer problems.
But that approach to life ended up ruining my marriage and nearly cost me my sanity due to bad drug experiences. I went from psychiatrists to counselors and different programs not only to try to find solutions to the fallout from using alcohol and drugs, but also to try to find answers to other inner problems that I had used alcohol and drugs to try to cover up, including why I was so susceptible to peer pressure, even when I deep down didn't feel like going along. But despite years of therapy, at one point I was in so much pain I just wanted to end it all and decided to commit suicide.
Fortunately that didn't happen. Instead, what I ended up discovering not only gave me the strength to stop all addictions, it turned my life into one that has joy, great purpose, and deep fulfillment. And that has been going on for 24 years now, which is why I say that I'm an EX alcoholic and drug user, not a "recovering" one.
Drugs and alcohol are distant memories now that I wouldn't let invade the great life that I now experience... not because I'm afraid to use them, but because I just don't like their effects. I now hear and heed the messages that my body gave me when first using drugs (like nausea, headaches, losing control, paranoia and the shakes) and alcohol (bad taste, nausea, headaches and hangovers). Compared to my degree of sensitivity now, those experiences are "downers".
So that's why I'm excited to share with others what I finally found that works. And I'm doing this through a new recovery (actually, life transformation) program that I developed that guarantees permanent success. This program can be seen at http://www.ChristianPersonalSolutions.com. Plus, this method that worked for me can work for ANYBODY... regardless of circumstances. One reason I say that is because when I started the method in this program, I was weak, alone, in pain, broke, shy, living in a bad neighborhood, and had tried nearly everything else (22 different approaches to lifestyle and personal growth in all).
So then, what is the missing ingredient that I found that wasn't in the traditional or experimental psychology approaches or the 12 step movements? What was the better thing to say "yes" to that had the ability to put in my heart the strength, peace and joy, and clarity in my mind, that made it easy for me to "say no to drugs", alcohol and other addictions permanently?
Well first lets look at what the problem is with the willpower and behavior modification approach. Do you remember the fable of the boy who saw a leak in a dyke and when he put his finger in it it sprouted another leak, which then required another finger...until he ran out of fingers and no longer could hold back the water? Well it is the same with resolving an addictive tendency. The only way to stop an addiction permanently is to NATURALLY eliminate the pressure of the "water in the dyke". In a human being's case that water pressure would be internal pressures and feelings. Using force may only give a temporary illusion that the problem has been resolved if the underlying problems aren't naturally eliminated. And bottom-line, I found that an absolutely necessary ingredient to accomplishing that is a complete commitment to Jesus as the head of my life.
My new rehab program shows the specifics on how and why to do that. A good intention is not enough. There are specific things that a person must do. The extra bonus here is that this also creates a very high quality life... even much better than the pre-addiction life. Plus it is very inexpensive (less than the cost of just one visit to a therapist or counselor) and filled with assignments, as it guides a person through a very benefit-rich process of life transformation. Plus it has a 100% money-back guarantee. I wish I would have found this program early on. It would have saved me a lot of pain, trouble, damage and expense over many years.
