LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Globalism is a philosophy that suggests fewer barriers to trade are good for you. Specifically, free trade agreements, minimal regulation, and liberal banking laws allow trade and money to move freely. This movement produces jobs and wealth.
Unfortunately, those jobs and wealth are not distributed in the best interest of the people.
Free trade means jobs go overseas where the cheapest workers live. Such workers toil for long hours and minimal pay, and produce the goods the rest of the world consumes.
This should mean cheaper products, but consider the iPhone. It is produced for pennies on the hour, but sells for hundreds of dollars apiece. Consumers are not getting the benefit of cheap overseas labor.
The money from sales goes into corporate accounts which dodge taxes by moving the money offshore.
The result is that the rich get richer, the middle class loses jobs, and prices remain high anyway because people will borrow to pay them.
And that borrowing comes from the banks, which are part of the globalist movement.
Hillary Clinton supports this movement without apology. The people who donate to her and endorse her are closely associated with the globalist movement. They are her greatest donors. And they have the most influence over her.
The reason why candidates like Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have gained so much popularity is because they're standing against globalism. Both candidates have called for trade protections, an end to free trade agreements, and new jobs for workers.
Hank Paulson was Treasury Secretary for George W. Bush and CEO of Goldman Sachs. In an interview with Politico, Paulson spoke glowingly of Clinton. Paulson said he would vote for Clinton because she is a globalist.
He said it was wrong to "wall off America" speaking about free trade agreements. However, Americans lose when free trade agreements are passed. Paulson claimed Trump would kill U.S. jobs, which is false because trade protections protect domestic jobs. That's the point of trade protection.
Trump has correctly pointed out that our trade deals are "disgusting, the absolute worst ever negotiated by any country in the world."
Paulson said the average American household is $10,000 richer since the end of World War II because of free trade. If true, this is ridiculous.
After nearly a century of unprecedented growth, the average American household is only $10,000 richer? And the fact is, the figure is a lie. Most of that $10,000 has gone to the top 1 percent, thus skewing the statistic. Most American households are in fact poorer. We know because the poor now make more than 50 percent of the American population, and this is by outdated measurements. An updated measurement might reveal even more disturbing numbers.
The globalists are determined to make America a third-rate country. They are diminishing our quality of life by withholding wages. They force Americans to compete with virtual slave labor in India and China. Meanwhile, they take advantage of our markets and infrastructure here to orchestrate their dealings. They live comfortably in the U.S., but dodge taxes.
And they manipulate our politics, installing corrupt crony capitalists, rigging the economy for themselves. They enjoy the benefits of socialism, such as bailouts and subsidies, while advocating individualism for the people.
This increases their power and wealth, but does nothing for the rest of us. They don't care, why should they?
They hoover billions in subsidies, pay little to no taxes, or cash in rebates, while asking the poor to accept a double digit cut in their food aid program.
These people have no shame. They have no respect for the Constitution, the law, or the rights of the individual. They are enemies of our Republic, and should be treated as such. Unfortunately, they control the government, the media, and the foolish masses.
Remember this November, a vote for Clinton is a vote against yourself.
