LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Although these numbers are only from New Hampshire, they are a slight indication for how other states will react upon Romney's departure.
According to a recent survey, completed by people who say they will vote in next year's GOP presidential primary, Walker now has the backing of 21.2 percent, where it recently rested at 8 percent, when Romney was a contender. Following Walker is Jeb Bush with 14.4 percent; he also rose up from 11 percent.

Before Romney announced he would not be a part of the race, he had surpassed all other Republican candidates with 29 percent support.
"I believe that one of our next generation of Republican leaders, one who may not be as well-known as I am today, one who has not yet taken their message across the country, one who is just getting started, may well emerge as being better able to defeat the Democrat nominee," stated Romney in his announcement of not running. "In fact, I expect and hope that to be the case."
Elected governor in 2010, in a state that traditionally leads toward Democrats, Walker became "a national hero to many conservatives." All "thanks to his high profile 2011-2012 battle against state public sector unions over collective bargaining rights," stated NH1. He continues to gain support across the country after a speech in Iowa to conservative activists that earned him some national buzz for being well-received.
Growing up in a religious family, Walker learned the lessons of faith at an early age from his reverand father, Llew. He continues to use and act one what he learned in his life today.
Quite a bit behind, Senator Rand Paul and neurosurgeon Ben Carson follow Walker and Bush with 8.3 percent and 8.2 percent.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie sits at 7 percent, and Mike Huckabee is at 6.8 percent.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio comes next with 5.4 percent of support.

However, the recorded questionnaire only named 11 of the more than 20 potential candidate names, leaving the 12th option for unsure or someone not listed; 19 percent of surveyors chose unsure or someone not listed.
According to NH1, the "survey's sampling error was plus or minus 3.08 percentage points."
