In a May 4, 2014 article in the Daily Beast entitled A Bishop's Decision to Divorce, Gene Robinson continues his sad fall from grace, once again utilizing his public prominence to continue his infamous rejection of the faith which he still claims to believe

This errant, openly defiant, fallen Christian leader continues his fall from grace in a public manner, causing grave scandal to the faithful and disparaging Christianity in public. He needs to repent and publicly renounce his error. Then he needs to cease his arrogant crusade against the unbroken teachings of Christianity on life and marriage. He is in deep spiritual danger and needs our prayer. Even though he is officially retired, he also needs to be removed from active ministry by those in authority in his church.

NASHUA,NH (Catholic Online) - This Episcopal Bishop threw his entire Church into its current state of upheaval when he was consecrated to the episcopacy in 2003 as a practicing homosexual. He did not pledge celibacy, but continued to live with his homosexual paramour.

The controversial crusader for activist homosexual causes has been a staunch defender of giving moral and legal equivalency between homosexual and lesbian partnerships and marriage. In fact, he has been a veritable poster personality of the cause, by choice.

He entered into a Civil Union with his male paramour, Mark Andrew, in a private ceremony conducted by a Justice of the Peace on Saturday June 7, 2008. The Civil Ceremony in 2008 was followed by a "Church Blessing" of the partnership at St. Paul's Church in Concord, New Hampshire.

A spokesman for the crusading Bishop, Mike Barwell, told the Press in a phone interview that the event was "absolutely joyful" and that it was attended by "A lot of his supporters and friends, including many members of the gay and lesbian community." Barwell also said that the Bishop wanted it "kept private" out of his alleged respect for the upcoming Lambeth conference.

It was recognized as a 'marriage' under civil law when New Hampshire in 2009 - when that State recognized homosexual and lesbian partnerships as a 'marriage' under Civil law. It was never recognized as a Marriage in accordance with Christian teaching or the Natural Moral Law, because the relationship can never fulfill the ends of marriage.

Eugene Robinson was previously divorced from his wife. He is the father of two children. He left that marriage, after vowing permanency, to pursue his alternative approach to sexual inclinations he acknowledges.

The purported marriage between these two men occurred exactly five years to the day after Bishop Robinson was consecrated as a Bishop. He was consecrated even though he refused to remain celibate and was openly engaged in immoral sexual activity.  The choice of the date and the fact that there was a spokesman giving such statements, comported with the Bishop's intentional strategy of using the media in his self appointed crusade to not only personally veer from Christian Orthodoxy-  but force the Church to do the same.

He went on National television and announced his plans to enter a Civil Union with his homosexual male partner to Matt Lauer of NBC on the Today Show. He had already signaled the action in 2007 at Nova Southeastern University's Shephard Law Center, where he announced with pride, "I always wanted to be a June bride."

This Episcopal Bishop has seemed to relish his position at the cutting edge of the ongoing schism within the global Anglican Communion. He wants to be a controversialist. He is a leader in a cultural revolution being led by activist, practicing homosexuals who not only want to live their lifestyle but force the State and the Church to give them equal status to marriage.

He has repeatedly claimed that his aberrant behavior is an acceptable way of life for Christians. He has gone much further. He has routinely painted himself as some new kind of advocate for social justice, within the civil society, and a change of doctrine within his church. That was clear in that interview with Matt Lauer.

With condescension, he presented orthodox, faithful Christians who oppose his active homosexual relationship and his calls for the State and the Church to give legal and moral equivalency between homosexual partners and married couples, as unenlightened and discriminatory.

The Episcopal Bishop preaches and practices what St. Paul warned of in his letter to the Galatians as "another Gospel" (Galatians 1:6). He not only rejects the truth as taught by the Christian scriptures and tradition, he flagrantly flouts the teaching and seeks actively to confuse others about it. .

He maintains he is following the Holy Spirit in calling for this radical revision of Christian orthodoxy. The claim teeters on blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. He argues against the clear teaching of the Scriptures and unbroken teaching of the Christian tradition that reserve sexual activity to the loving, lifelong marriage bond between a married man and woman.

Clearly, Bishop Gene Robinson views himself as some kind of liberator. He has done more to foster the splintering of the Anglican Communion worldwide than anyone else. He seems to take delight in both his celebrity and his self appointed task and crusade.

Robinson had been asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury to not attend the Lambeth conference back in 2008. The reason was obvious, the controversy surrounding his lifestyle and his vocal dissent from unbroken Christian teaching on human sexuality and marriage. That teaching is confirmed in the sacred scripture and the unbroken teaching of the Christian tradition.

He announced he would attend anyway, saying with defiance: "I think the Archbishop of Canterbury has gotten this wrong by not inviting everyone. I'm going to go and offer myself and talk with anyone who wants to talk to someone who is unashamedly gay and unashamedly Christian."

In a book entitled "In the Eye of the Storm", he defended the proposition that homosexuality, a practice which involves chosen sexual conduct between members of the same sex, should be given protected legal status under anti-discrimination and civil rights laws in the same manner as race or gender.

The Bishop is also a vocal proponent of the so called "abortion right", denying the unbroken teaching of the Christian Church that every human life has dignity and must be respected and protected, including children in the first home of the whole human race, their mothers womb. He has spoken at Planned Parenthood events where he has argued for a religious defense of the intentional killing of children in the womb by procured abortion.

What is called the Anglican Communion claims to have 77 million members worldwide. However, it is a loose confederation of national churches. It has been experiencing continual declines in its membership and divisions in its member churches. In the United States, it is called the Episcopal Church.

In a May 4, 2014 article in the Daily Beast entitled A Bishop's Decision to Divorce, Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson continues his sad fall from grace, once again utilizing his public prominence to continue his infamous rejection of the faith which he still claims to believe.

He publicly announced his divorce from the homosexual partner he called his 'husband'. He writes: "My belief in marriage is undiminished by the reality of divorcing someone I have loved for a very long time, and will continue to love even as we separate. Love can endure, even if a marriage cannot. It will take a lot of work, a lot of grieving, and a large measure of hope to see it through. And that's where my faith comes in."
