LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The war between the regime of President Bashar al-Assad, secular rebel groups and numerous radical Islamist factions has spawned numerous groups, including the Islamic State which has taken over a large amount of territory in Syria and Iraq.
Act now, please help save fellow Christians from genocide!
The British human right group has said that of the death toll, just under half-33,278-were civilians.
Back in August of 2014 the United Nations estimated that the total death toll in Syria was 191,000. However, numerous activist groups both in Syria and abroad believe that the number is much higher.
Spiritual, physical and mental health is key to a happy and fulfilled life.
The United States and a coalition of other nations, including Canada, Australia and Great Britain, have joined in the war as antagonists of the Islamic State and some al-Qaeda affiliated groups.
But despite numerous and desperate requests from moderate Syrian rebel groups, neither the U.S. or the western coalition have made any intentions to intervene against al-Assad.
