LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Reports state blasts could be heard from the printing warehouse the brothers took cover in.

With 1,000 officers on the scene, the terrorists were taken down.

The Kouachi brothers set their hostage free and came out firing at police, according to CNBC. The suspects reportedly told negotiators they "want to die as martyrs."

Amedy Coulibaly, suspected killer of policewoman in small Paris suburb, is also reported dead after taking at least five hostages.

Coulibaly threatened to kill his hostages if police stormed the Kouachi brothers.

This prompted the officers at separate sites to join forces and take action simultaneously, according to CNBC.
