Evidence of Biblical flood uncovered in China

'There are thousands of feet of Flood sediment all over the globe - evidence of a catastrophic global Flood...'

Scientists in China dated the bones of children who drowned around 2000 B.C., roughly the date of Noah and the Biblical flood.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The evidence revealed a possibility of the children perishing during the global flood God sent to cleanse the earth.

Ken Ham, of Answers in Genesis, a religious organization "dedicated to enabling Christians to defend their faith and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ effectively," explained:

"Whether it's the American Indians or the Fijians, Hawaiians, the Eskimos, Australian Aborigines . back to the Babylonians, there are flood legends in cultures all over the world," indicating the Great Flood was a real event interpreted by different cultures in different ways.

In China, the global flood is related to "a man in particular."

As the Christian nation understands, that man was Noah.

Ham explained: "There are thousands of feet of Flood sediment all over the globe - evidence of a catastrophic global Flood - and they're not prepared to look at that because they've been indoctrinated to believe that that was laid down over millions of years."

Wu Qinglong, a professor in the department of geography at Nanjing Normal University, told Japan Times the floodwaters surged to "roughly the equivalent to the largest Amazon flood ever measured," and added, "more than 500 times larger than a flood on the Yellow River from a rainfall event.

"This cataclysmic flood would have been a truly devastating event...This is the first time a flood of this scale - large enough to account for it - has been found..."

David Thompson of the University of Washington, Seattle, explained, "Great floods occupy a central place in some of the world's oldest stories [and this] flood now stands as another such story potentially rooted in geological events."

The discovery of the bones and evidence of a great flood only strengthened Ham's conclusion: "If the Bible's true, it means God is Creator. It means God owns us.

"It means we have to be in submission to him. It means he sets the rules. It means that abortion is wrong - it's murder. It means that marriage is a man and a woman. It means that we need to receive the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ."
