We ask you, urgently: don't scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - After you read these 13 tips and tricks at mastering the ponytail from BuzzFeed, ponytails will soon be your go-to hairstyle choice, even if your hair is cooperating without it.
1. A Chignon
Complete a topsy tail (inverted ponytail) by flipping the end through the middle of the ponytail. Then to make it a chignon, simply tuck the ends in.

2. Inverted Side Pony
Make a side ponytail, and flip it the end through the middle like a normal inverted ponytail. This will get the hair off your neck.
3. Long and Full Ponytail
Stack two ponytails provides the illusion of a longer and more full ponytail. Put the bottom half of your hair into a ponytail. Then take the upper half, style the top and tie it up on top of the bottom ponytail.
4. Braided Ponytail Wrap
This variation of the ponytail wrap is created by leaving two strands of hair, from the front, out of the ponytail and taking them back and knotting them through the middle of the ponytail's base.
5. Twisted Ponytail
The twisted ponytail is created by twisting the wrap around the ponytail's hairband.
6. Double Knotted Pony
A variation on the knotted ponytail, this one takes you to the next level.
7. Lift it Up
Get some much needed height in your ponytail by clipping a butterfly clip directly under the hair tie holding your hair. This can also be done with bobby pins.
8. Gym Time Ponytail
This is the perfect ponytail for a work out, or if your feeling the tiered look. Start at the very top of your head and make a small ponytail, go down about two inches and create another ponytail. Continue down until your hair is completely tied up.
9. Messy Twist
This style is perfect for those who have thick hair. It is "a romantic variation on the side pony," explains BuzzFeed.
10. Short Hair Tricks
For short hair, keep the falling back pieces up by double braiding the bottom.
11. Pump it Up
Another way to create a lifted look in your boring ponytail is by creating a tail lift. Start with a half-up style (you can tease this section prior to tying to create extra height). Tighten that ponytail, once you are certain the volume on top is perfect, take the rest of your hair and tie all of it together with an additional hair tie.

12. Floppy Bow
Although this one looks more difficult than the others, with practice this one will be the gift you've been looking for.
13. The Posh Pony
"Use a comb to fluff up the middle and back layers before pulling your hair into the ponytail," suggests BuzzFeed.
