Martyr of Gaul. An officer in the Roman Legion, Priscus was put to death with a group of fellow soldiers and other Christians near modern Auxerre, in Roman Gaul, during the persecutions of Emperor Aurelian. Priscus and a companion, Cottus, had fled Besancon, France, to avoid persecution, but were caught at Auxerre.
