Bishop of Würzburg, Germany, killed in an accident while dining with Emperor Henry III. Bruno became a bishop in 1033, and was known for starting parishes throughout Würzburg, projects for which he used his personal wealth. While dining with Emperor Henry III at Bosenberg on the Danube, Bruno was killed when a gallery gave way. He was the son of Duke Conrad of Carinthia and Baroness Matilda, and was revered as a scholar and author.
