Martyr of Japan. Anthony was a native Japanese and a crew member on board the ship of Blessed Joachim Firayama. Two priests were being transported to Japan on the ship when it was taken by Japanese authorities after being captured by Dutch Protestant pirates. Anthony and the entire crew were members of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. They were beheaded in Nagasaki.
