Aquinas and More Catholic Goods Hosts Grand Opening Of Full Service Religious Goods Store To Serve Catholic Community

Colorado Springs, CO (October 1) - Aquinas and More Catholic Goods, a full-service religious goods supplier specializing in products for both Roman and Eastern Rite Catholics as well as other denominations, celebrates the grand opening of its new 1300 sq. ft. retail store in Colorado Springs' Flintridge Plaza at 4727A Academy Blvd (Just an hour's drive from Denver or Pueblo).

Ian Rutherford, president of Aquinas and More, said "we're excited about the creative, faith-filled possibilities of serving the religious needs of the Catholic and other faith communities in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas as well as areas across North America with artistic, inspired and useful products responsive to the liturgical and faith needs of these communities."

Rutherford, himself knowledgeable of Catholic liturgy and architecture, Catholic retailing and author of the comprehensive "Catholic Liturgical Library" (an online resource for liturgical and rubrical information for Catholic clergy and laity), opened Aquinas and More Catholic goods in October of 2002 and within one year has grown it to become the most visited Catholic retailer on the internet.

The Aquinas and More website is one of the top 40 most visited Catholic sites on the internet according to Alexa traffic rankings, with patronage by Catholics and other faith groups. The store website is the official on-line store for several major Catholic websites including Catholic.org, Catholic-Forum.com, StRaphael.net, Catholic-Pages.com and Catholicliturgy.com as well as many parishes and other websites.

The modern, fully equipped religious goods store will host a grand opening party on October 1st, 2003 from 10am until 8pm - with a store blessing by Most Rev. Michael Sheridan, bishop of Colorado Springs at 10:30am. The store features thousands of Catholic books and religious goods such as jewelry and rosaries as well as a full range of services including custom holy cards, computer kiosk, catalog station for special orders, wedding registries, first communion and baptism apparel, metal ware restoration, church supplies (including wine, hosts, candles and fixtures) and clerical apparel. "There are over 4,000 products in our on-line store front - and our new retail store features over 9,000 products," said Rutherford.

The store is also centrally located and convenient to the churches of Colorado Springs and other religious institutions such as Regis University.

In addition to Aquinas and More's retail church goods interest, Rutherford plans to host periodic seminars on the liturgical arts and topics of religious interest presented by guest speakers at times to be announced. "I see the future of our store not just as a place to shop, but as a total artistic and liturgical resource for the Catholic imagination - a very important ministry of quality religious goods," he said.
