2015 Ordo for the Extraordinary Form, 1962 Missale Romanum

CHICAGO, IL (October 8, 2014) - Biretta Books, the publisher of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius in Chicago, is pleased to announce the publication of the "Sancta Missa 2015 Ordo" for the Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form), used in conjunction with the 1962 Missale Romanum.

The 2015 ORDO covers from Advent 2014, through the entire calendar year 2015, and into mid-January 2016.

When the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius began the "Sancta Missa" workshops in 2007, after the promulgation of Benedict XVI's "Summorum Pontificum," the Canons saw the need to provide expanding groups of priests an Ordo for the Extraordinary Form (1962 Missale Romanum). Therefore, the publishers of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius, Biretta Books, is glad to offer this beautifully designed "Sancta Missa 2015 ORDO" to be used in conjunction with the 1962 Missale Romanum for the Extraordinary Form.

The 2015 ORDO covers the complete Liturgical Calendar of the Church according to the 1962 Missale Romanum & 1962 Brevarium Romanum. This edition of the 2015 Ordo for the Traditional Latin Mass is the easiest to use - it is very "user-friendly"!

For any given day, the 2015 ORDO contains a clear and simple listing of the feast to be celebrated with its liturgical rank (1, 2, 3, or 4) and color (Green, White, Red, Rose, White, Black, Violet), together with the liturgical rubrics to be observed.

Beautiful artwork is used throughout the 2015 ORDO to remind us of the beauty of the Sacred Liturgy. There are articles on Catholic devotions also, in order to help reintegrate traditional Catholic piety into parish life today.

An excellent feature of the 2015 ORDO is the inclusion of the special plenary indulgences and prayers that come from the 1962 Indulgentiarum Doctrina, as well as important documents from Rome pertaining to the celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form).
