We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Salt and Water design studio's project was developed with the goal to endorse tourism on inland waters. The plans won the Millennium Yacht Design Award recently, which is a global competition for yacht designers. The features are undeniably beautiful.

The floating hotel showcases a central unit. From there the guests can check in and socialize with each other. The area is connected, by a portable walkway, to a set of floating catamaran pods.

In the central unit, one can also find an event hall, a café and a restaurant. There is also a beach platrom. The water can be easily accessed so guests can enjoy swimming, sun bathing and fishing.

The central idea behind this project is to let guests truly have a good time and enjoy their visit by cruising at a very slow speed and providing them with a flawless and uninterrupted view of the scenery.

According to Benjamin Maltby, the principal consultant at MartixLloyd, "The inside/outside room became a staple of superyacht design in the mid-2000s, and these spaces normally work wonderfully. I'd want the whole hotel moored somewhere where the water underneath is moving: stagnant water encourages mosquitoes. I'd also want each apartment to be able to swing round so that it faced into the oncoming wind and wasn't buffeted by crosswinds all night."

"This is a stunning idea, but whether or not it will work will depend on where the hotel is located."

The Salt & Water specializes in interior designing of yachts, as well as exterior styling, aircraft interior design and architecture.

The Salt & Water yacht experience appears to be one where relaxation is key; one can easily reconnect with God and cherish the time together with family.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28
