Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

Trolls have sent over 200,000 donations to Planned Parenthood in Vice President-elect Mike Pence's name. The movement is an attempt to protest the possible defunding of the organization under a Trump-Pence administration. Mike Pence has taken a hard line against the abortion mills in his state.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) -- " Planned Parenthood, disgustingly proud the operator of abortion mills across the country and around the globe, has smugly announced the receipt of 200,000 individual donations in Mike Pence's name.
The organization says the donations have been pouring in with a quarter received since election day. Pro-abortion advocates are using the donations to protest the moral stance of Gov. Mike Pence who has worked to defund Planned Parenthood.
According to Planned Parenthood, abortion is only three percent of their operations. However, the organization fights fiercely to preserve that tiny portion of its work. And there have not been 50,000 donations sent to cover breast cancer screenings or to provide any other services. It reveals the sick obsession of Planned Parenthood to kill children in their mother's womb.
A quarter of the donors have also pledged to become monthly donors.
Perhaps with so much public support and so many donations, Mike Pence can finally spearhead an effort to defund Planned Parenthood nationally. After all, the organization should not need that many donations to cover a mere three percent of the organization's operation, which is not for profit anyway, right?
Of course, we know the truth. Planned Parenthood's backbone is abortion. It's a profitable industry. And it is a reflection of our obsession with sex and our loathing of responsibility. It's not about women's health, it's about profit. Only half of the females who enter a Planned Parenthood clinic leave alive. That's not women's rights, that's murder.
Also repugnant is the organization's insistence that they have a right to the tax dollars of people whose sincere religious belief is opposed to abortion. Planned Parenthood doesn't care, they just want to get paid.
How many abortions would be performed if those performing them did not profit? How many abortions would be performed if the only source of finding was private donations?
Perhaps we will know these answers in the years to come, so we pray.
