Why did Obama pay $400 million ransom to our sworn enemy, Iran?

Obama sends cash to our sworn enemy.

They believe we are the "mouthpiece of Satan." Their artwork depicts the destruction of our nation and the killing of our troops. They support terrorism. They are sworn to the destruction of Israel. So why did Obama give them $400 million in cash?

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Possible Manchurian Candidate Obama sent $400 million to Iran on an unmarked Japanese cargo plane last January. Cash was delivered in Euros and other currencies the Islamic Republic could use to circumvent the last trade restrictions they face. The delivery took place on the same day Iran also released four Americans being held prisoner by the Islamic Republic.

This has been a good year for Iran. They got a deal on their nuclear program. Sanctions have been lifted. They've captured American sailors and scored propaganda coups. And they've been given a lot of cash from Obama.

What has the United States gained? Just the vague promise Iran might not develop a nuclear weapon and attack Israel soon.

President Obama has become the Neville Chamberlain of our time, outmaneuvered by Iran.

Was the money a ransom for the four prisoners released by Iran the same day? The White House denies it. According to Obama, the payoff was to settle a debt the U.S. owed to Iran that could have ballooned into the billions if we had not agreed to the deal.

It gets even more amusing than that.

Why would the U.S. ever owe money to an adversary or honor a debt to one? Our debt would be owed to the former government of Iran which was overthrown, not the current regime.

As it happens, the $400 million was money paid to the United States in 1979 by the former government of Iran in exchange for military equipment. The military equipment was never delivered, but the U.S. severed diplomatic relations after the revolution. The money was kept. Until now.

Obama may be Iran's most valuable player.

Perhaps Iran is now using that money to supply terrorists in Yemen, where we are fighting a proxy war against them? That's right. Iran is supplying terrorists who are fighting to overthrow the legitimate, U.S.-backed government. Our forces are fighting an escalating conflict against Iranian-backed terrorists. And Obama sends money to Iran.

The only reason people aren't outraged is because they're not paying attention.

Iran tells a different story about the ransom. According to Iranian officials, the release was absolutely tied to the delivery of the money, which was seen as a sign of "good faith." Had Obama not delivered the money, Iran would not have released the four detainees. In the English language, this is referred to as "ransom."

According to Iranian officials, the U.S. Israel and other U.S. allies in the region were conspiring to prevent the cash delivery. It seems Saudi Arabia and other countries have a problem with us financing their enemy.

Good thing Obama isn't deterred by his allies.

It's not too late to impeach a president whose goal is to empower our enemies. It's also good advice not to elect his hand-picked successor.
