Anything to win: Clinton calls for amnesty to keep from 'ripping apart families'
FREE Catholic Classes
Though Hillary Clinton has made anti-immigration statements in the past, in an effort to pull from Donald Trump's supporters, she has been pushing for amnesty on behalf of the "families" who would be affected by Trump's "prejudicial, really unacceptable ways."

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - As reported by Town Hall, Democrat presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton spoke in 20003 to say she was "adamantly against illegal immigrants."
Interestingly, now that she is running for president, she has switched her stance and has been attempting to appeal to Hispanic voters.
In 2015, Clinton stated: "We can't wait any longer for a path to full and equal citizenship. Today, not a single Republican candidate, announced or potential, is clearly and consistently supporting a path to citizenship. ... When they talk about 'legal status,' that is code for second-class status."
As Clinton has also shown inconsistencies with her position on immigration and granting amnesty to illegal immigrants, she is hardly in a position worthy of calling out other politicians.
Yet the Democrat nominee-hopeful has compared herself to Donald Trump repeatedly throughout her campaign. During a campaign stop at Edison High School, she commented on Trump's criticism of her "playing the women's card" after bringing up equal pay during her campaign.
"If trying to make sure people get equal pay for the work they do is playing the women's card, then deal me in!" Clinton cried. "You want a president who thinks hard," she added, then asked if the audience believed Trump could live up to that necessity.
In reference to Trump's call for a wall and his unyielding negative stance on illegal immigration, Clinton spoke of the effects on farm workers, many of whom are illegal immigrants, and stated: "I will make sure that right here in Fresno and the surrounding area, where we see such productive agriculture, where the farmers and farm workers produce half of the food that we eat, that 1.2 million farm workers in California will not be rounded up and deported."
She then vowed those with an "immigrant past" would one day achieve an "American citizenship future."
Though she refrained from using the word "amnesty," it is clear Clinton is aiming to grant an unknown number of illegal immigrants American citizenship.
During a stop at Mission College, Clinton claimed, "In my first 100 days [as president] I will introduce legislation for comprehensive immigration reform."
She pointed out Trump "talks about deporting 11 million immigrants, he's talking about ripping apart families," a comment aimed directly at the public's emotions rather than the fact that illegal immigrants are, by definition, illegally present in the United States.
Whether these illegals have families is irrelevant - they are present in a country that requires processing, background checks and legally granted permission to remain but Clinton isn't thinking about the safety of the American people or the effects illegals have on the economy - she is solely interested in collecting as many votes as possible.
She conveniently forgot the comment she made in February 2003 when she remarked, "Certainly we've got to do more at our borders, people have to stop employing illegal immigrants."
In light of her failure to recall her previous stance on immigration reform, Clinton has even put her Democrat competitor Bernie Sanders under fire for his immigration stance.
According to the Washington Post, Clinton called Sanders out in a Los Angeles campaign stop to say: "It is true we got close to immigration reform. President Obama and I voted for it, and Sen. Sanders voted against it. And that ended it. It was heartbreaking."
Clinton added, "I believe that after this election, if all goes well, we will have a chance to pass immigration reform."
Clinton is currently fighting for her political life with less than 35 delegates needed to reach the minimum number of delegates for nomination. She has been reaching out to everyone and anyone by turning her back on previous statements and jumping on bandwagons.
Is this the leader the American people need? A woman who is not only under a federal investigation for possibly loosing sensitive information and who is more than willing to turn her stances upside-down to gain political goals? Apparently, 2,383 delegates believe so.
