Public Bathrooms: Private and safe facilities or free-for-alls?
FREE Catholic Classes
Men with bad motives or who live dissolute lifestyles have always been potential sexual threats to women - and now women have been pushed further into their corners as "transgender rights" rise to prominence as the newest notion of the sexual revolution. These rights overthrow women's authentic rights, including their right to security and liberty.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Though not all men are to be blamed for the sick and disordered few, it is clear that the Federal Appeals Court ruling allowing those now referred to as "transgender" students into bathrooms they feel best matches their identity is not only uncalled for - it is unsafe.
Who is to say which students are "transgendered?" In other words, how can we tell who has a psychological problem leading them to reject their given identity as a male, and those who are just perversely interested in peeking between the large gaps in bathroom stalls? Worse still, there is a history of disgusting men hiding cameras to record women from beneath their skirts. Who is to say the same won't happen in a unisex bathroom with no adult supervision and no questions?
According to NBC News, a federal appeals court recently ruled that public schools must give "transgender" students ( males who think they are females or females who think they are males) access to whichever bathroom they feel best matches their self proclaimed "gender identity." If they fail to do so, the school may be charged with sexual discrimination.
The immutable fact of sexual difference, once considered a gift, has succumbed to the radical, revolutionary notion that one can simply decide whether they are male or female - and change their decision at will.
For example, Gavin Grimm was born a girl but identifies as a boy to the point where he legally changed his name and has been on hormone therapy, consuming chemicals to force his body to stop its natural development.
This in and of itself is mind-blowing.
To take matters a step further, look at Grimm's situation from a different point of view. A teenager has somehow convinced her parents that her disordered sexual appetite - believing she is not the sexual identity which God created her to be - is so vital to her notion of "freedom" that they agreed to put her on hormone therapy, which requires a series of medical tests and his doctor's "okay!"
How is this even legal? Can it be counted as child abuse? How many of us wanted crazy things as teens and preteens, like a tattoo of a boyfriend or girlfriend's name, had dreams of purchasing all the candy in town, or never wanted to brush our teeth?
How many of us still hold on to those silly wishes that hold very real consequences? Will Grimm wake up one day and start to believe she is, in fact, a female? What then? Will she have already gone under the knife? What responsible adult listens to their children to this extent?
To make matters worse, rather than recognizing similar instances throw open the door to dangerous circumstances, the American people are so wrapped up in accepting each other that they're eating it up! Yes! Save the child who really wants to use the men's room! Yes, let the young man enter the ladies' room, where young girls are already half-naked!
How does the population fail to grasp the insanity of this thinking?
The other problem, of course, is there is no way to distinguish who is a transgendered student and who is simply deciding they want to go into the restroom of the opposite sex, for whatever reason.
Why are self professed "transgendered" people only speaking up now? No one suspected their secret before and they used whichever restrooms were appropriate. Of course, now that being pansexual, homosexual, trans, etc. is popular, kids are opening up and either deciding or succumbing to the thought of questioning their given sexual identity.
Does this mean everything is literally based on whether they're sexually attracted to members of the same sex? Certainly not. It just means a little boy who really loves Barbies believes he was meant to be a girl and, therefore, must now be allowed to use the ladies' restroom.
While "transgender" rights continue to infringe upon women's rights and their safety, the world continues to spin and American liberals and libertines continue to demand this new notion of "equality."
