Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

'The unborn person doesn't have constitutional rights': Hypocrite Hillary under fire for use of contradicting pro-life terms during important abortion speech

Clinton may have committed political suicide on Sunday.

During Sunday's abortion debate, Hillary Clinton made the mistake of riling up both sides, leaving herself wide open for criticism after criticism.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - "The unborn person doesn't have constitutional rights," Clinton stated, adding, "That doesn't mean that we don't do everything we possibly can, in the vast majority of instances to, you know, help a mother who is carrying a child and wants to make sure that child will be healthy, to have appropriate medical support."

By calling the unborn a "person," Clinton drew the ire of Planned Parenthood and its affiliates - many of whom supported her during the primaries.

When she claimed a person "didn't have constitutional rights," Clinton hammered the last nail in her coffin.

Diana Arellano, the manager of community engagement for Planned Parenthood Illinois Action, took to Twitter, where she accused Clinton of stigmatizing abortions and using a "condescending tone" toward young people.

"@HilaryClinton further stigmmatizes #abortion. She calls a fetus an 'unborn child' & calls for later term restrictions. #MeetThePress," Arellano Tweeted.

Another Tweet read: "Not to mention her condescending comment abt feeling sorry for young people bc we apparently don't to our research."

Even Congressman Tim Huelskamp joined the Twitter attack. He wrote, "Some people don't have constitutional rights, says @HillaryClinton. The civil rights issue of our time. #Prolife goo.gl/ADu4CF.

Clinton's thoughtless comment may have jeopardized future votes from young people and from women in general.

Rebecca Kiessling, spokeswoman for Personhood Alliance, which stands for fetal rights, stated: "It's interesting that Hillary has now recognized the unborn as person [sic] and that she wants to deny them equal protection. You can't have it both ways."

Tina Whittington, executive vice president of Students for Life admitted: "I was actually pretty surprised, because usually when you hear her talk it's about the fetus. To acknowledge it's a human person, a human child, to us, it's huge."

Rep. Marsha Blacknurn released a statement concerning Clinton's "strikingly callous" comment, stating: "The analytical coldness with which she dismissed rights of unborn children reveals a type of hardened core that shocks the conscience. Further, abortion restrictions are in place precisely because an unborn child does have constitutional rights.

"Secretary Clinton, a trained attorney, should know the law. Her comment reveals a mindset that lacks any compassion for unborn children and may signal an intention to use executive action to block even minimal protections of life at its most vulnerable stage."

Politicians, pro-choice, actors, actresses and humanitarians continue to attack Clinton. Meanwhile, her campaign has yet to provide a comment on politically devastating gaffe.
