Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

'To the Trumps of his day, and to those who see winners as having money and power, the Jesus of the Bible was a loser who associated with those rejected by society. And he died broke.'

The Community of Saint Luke church has erected a controversial billboard featuring newly crucified Christ and Donald Trump, who holds a hammer and states, "I don't like losers."

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The New Zealand church's Facebook page includes an image of the billboard and St. Luke's minister, Slynn Cardy, left a personal message to Americans.

"For those of us at St. Luke's, the cross is about politics. Jesus was killed - violently, publicly and shamefully - because he spoke truth to power and confronted the leaders of his day about their treatment of the outcasts.

"To the Trumps of his day, and to those who see winners as having money and power, the Jesus of the Bible was a loser who associated with those rejected by society. And he died broke."

Cardy continued, writing that Jesus saw reality in a way most could not and "was a person who sided with minorities and those who were most vulnerable, and it was this that got him killed."

Trump's rude comments toward women, Muslims and Mexicans are offensive to Christians, Cardy added, stating he hopes voters in the United States "will see Trump's message for what it is, and not make him a nominee for their highest office."

The billboard, Cardy stated, is set to remain in place "as long as the issue of Trump's candidacy remains undecided."

Meanwhile, in America, the latest primary results show Trump leads the Republican Party with 458 delegates and is followed by Cruz with 359. Rubio only has 151 and Kasich comes in last with 54.

Clinton has secured 1,221 delegates while Sanders totals 571.

During his victory speech, Trump claimed, "I can be more presidential than anybody. I can be more presidential - if I want to be."
