'Why is there one standard for me and not for everybody else?'

Hillary Clinton spoke with CNN's Chris Cuomo during a Town Hall interview and admitted she would release transcripts of her Wall Street speeches -so long as everyone else did too.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - In an interview on CNN, Clinton said she would release transcripts of her multi-million-dollar speeches she was paid to deliver to big names like Goldman Sachs.

Specifically, the Democratic presidential hopeful stated she would release them "if everybody does it, and that includes the Republicans."

Her reasons for holding back until both Democrats and Republicans release their speeches is "Because we know they have given a lot of speeches."

The controversy is whether anyone else earned millions in fees.

Clinton earned $11 million in 2014 and the beginning of 2015 after delivering 51 private speeches to banks, other groups and industries.

"Why is there one standard for me, and not for everybody else?" she asked Cuomo.

It probably has something to do with the fact that no one else has taken advantage of their position to exchange speeches for a total of nearly as much money.

Bernie Sanders was asked if he planned to release transcripts of his paid speeches and appearances.

He responded: "I have given some speeches, and money was donated to charity way, way back. I got a few dollars. If I can find the transcripts, I'm very, very happy to do it."

Sanders explained he has never received millions in fees, which Clinton has charged.

"I am very happy to release all of my paid speeches to Wall Street. Here it is...There ain't none," Sanders stated as he threw his hands in the air and the audience laughed.

"I don't do that," he added. "I don't get speakers' fees from Goldman Sachs. It's not there."

In 2014, Sanders made $1,867.42 for three appearances, the proceeds of which were donated to charity. Clinton gave three speeches at Goldman Sachs and made $675,000 and defended herself by stating, "That's what they offered."

After the town hall event, Santers Tweeted, "@HillaryClinton "believes Republicans should set the standard for disclosure of her Wall Street speeches. Aren't we better than that?"
