Hillary Clinton could be charged with a crime, but for her political standing. According to the FBI, they have uncovered smoking gun evidence that Hillary Clinton has lied, and did, in fact remove a classified marking from an email and transmit it in an unsecured fashion. Furthermore, she did so knowingly and deliberately.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - According to former federal prosecutor, Joseph diGenova, "This is gigantic. She caused to be removed a classified marking and then had it transmitted in an unencrypted manner. That is a felony. The removal of the classified marking is a federal crime. It is the same thing to order someone to do it as if she had done it herself."
The email is dated from June 17, 2011 and in the email discussion Clinton asked senior State Department adviser to alter a classified email to mark it unclassified, then to send it over an unsecured network so she could have prompt access to it. The email refers to TPs, which is shorthand for "talking Points," suggesting she wanted the email for political discussion.
It is unclear if Sullivan did as Clinton asked.
According to diGenova, it is impossible for the FBI to refrain from issuing charges, but that may be exactly what doesn't happen. Hillary Clinton is on a trajectory to become the next president. A full-blown scandal could also be embarrassing and could compromise American trust and hegemony. In other words, Hillary Clinton could be too big to jail.
Most experts say they would be surprised to see Clinton face charges, or even jail. Instead, the case may be swept under the rug and forgotten, especially as she inches towards the White House. With Democratic primaries now just a few weeks away, and with Clinton favored to win in nearly all states, she will become the frontrunner. She also polls a little above Donald Tump, the likely GOP nominee.
Even if Sanders comes from behind to win, which is now within the realm of possibility as he closes on Clinton in Iowa, he will likely give her a pass. Should Trump win the election, he may want to focus on the future, and let Clinton off the hook too.
However, it must be understood that Clinton lied when she claimed she never sent of received anything classified. In fact, she may have knowingly and deliberately circumvented the rules to serve her momentary agenda.
If she rules the State Department with such self-serving, cavalier disregard, what could she do to the country?
