We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

And they are told not to wear uniforms on patrol.

Donald Trump is upsetting people with his modest proposal to ban Muslims from entering the US. Despite the outcry in the media, there is evidence to show his fears are well-founded. In London, police are so concerned with Muslim fanaticism, they patrol in plainclothes.

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Some London police support Donald Trump. According to Express, a British news outlet, several officers have come forward to support the claim that Muslims are dangerous.

During a recent speech, Trump spoke about Britain saying, "We have places in London and other places that are so radicalized that police are afraid for their own lives."

In areas of London and Birmingham, officers have been warned not to wear their uniforms on patrol. Officers complain they often have to ask permission from local Muslims leaders before they even enter some communities.

These are the darkest Muslim communities in London, where Sharia law is actually practiced. Any Muslim could be a hidden terrorist, prepared act out without warning.

An official response from the Metropolitan Police says Trump is wrong. London Mayor Boris Johnson wrote off Trump's claim as "utter nonsense."

Yet, why the plainclothes and the need to as for permission?

Concern over Muslim attacks is substantial and palpable among the police in London and they have attacked police before. Rather than assimilate, some Muslims insist on living as they did elsewhere, and expect the rest of the world to accept their practice. That can include the practice of Sharia law.

Trump has suggested we ban Muslims from entering the country.

The fact is, every nation has the right to control its own borders. If a state has no borders, then there is no nation.

It is right to put the safety and security of citizens ahead of foreigners whose motives may be suspect. At least until we can safely and reliably vet those who ask to walk freely among us, it's prudent to be selective about who we let in. Some London police are likely to agree.
