Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

MUNTINLUPA CITY, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - The Republicans should shut down the government, instead of funding the controversial health services at Planned Parenthood.

Trump reacted to radio host Hugh Hewitt and demanded he show the videos that feature Planned Parenthood officials discussing sale of aborted baby organs used in medical research. Trump exclaimed these videos are "disgraceful."

Planned Parenthood has been under the scrutiny of the public for more than a month now after the leaks of the videos.

In the interview, Trump states that the Senate still stood uncertain on whether they would continue to provide federal funds for the program or not. "I'm in my office in New York and I guess as we speak they are going to make a vote of some kind. Is the word that they won't get that vote?" Trump continued.

As for the vote on defunding Planned Parenthood, opponents failed to get past a procedural hurdle. Conservatives coming from different chambers have called for all the congressional leaders to attach all the overall funding of the budget to defunding the organization. The move will take place after the recess this coming August.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell claimed there will be "no more government shutdowns." According to him, both parties will continue negotiations to move forward.

Selling fetal organs and tissues for profit is considered illegal. The undercover videos of Planned Parenthood shows the discussion of selling organs for profit. The group received federal funding from the government to help with several health care programs. According to the law, they cannot use federal funds to operate abortion related activities.
