We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

NBC and Donald Trump have had a relationship for many years.

NBC has made the decision to cut ties with Donald Trump, over his political view and controversial statements regarding immigration made during his presidential announcement. Donald Trump and NBC have had a relationship, including Trump's produced Miss USA and Miss Universe and Trump's show The Apprentice, spanning over many years.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - "At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values," the network said in a statement. "Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump."

Earlier this month, Trump announced his presidential candidacy and called the United States, "a dumping ground for everybody else's problems."

He said, "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best... They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

Trump's statements caused a major uproar throughout the United States, including from Univision and Miss USA's co-host.  However, NBC's firing of Donald Trump has been the greatest backlash.

"If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court," Trump explained in a statement with Time Magazine. "Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won't stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be."

According to Trump, NBC is "trying to be politically correct" and that makes them "weak."
