LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - While many Republicans want, or have thought highly of, Mitt Romney running for a third time, an unlikely candidate is emerging as a top contender.

Brother of former president George W. Bush, and son of former president George H. W. Bush, Jeb Bush seems likely to run for 2016, building a dynasty unprecedented in American presidential history.

While the rest of the nation may be lukewarm about another Bush in the White House, Jeb's family and close network seem excited about dusting off the old political machine.

"No question," said Jeb's son, Jeb Bush Jr. "People are getting fired up about it - donors and people who have been around the political process for a while, people he's known in Tallahassee when he was governor. The family, we're geared up either way."

Both former Bush presidents are eager to have another relative perpetuating the Bush legacy, and while former first lady Barbara Bush is not convinced, she has apparently been pursueded to keep these feelings to herself.

One close family adviser says the entire Bush family, with its large and extended network of supporters, advisers and friends are eager to make a bid.

"They're like horses in the stall waiting for the gate to break," said one family insider who wished to remain anonymous. "They're all jumping up and down."

In 2008, the prospects for another Bush candidacy would have been unthinkable, a fact made abundantly clear by the broad sweep of Democrats into Congress and the White House, but now President Obama seems to be facing similar dissatisfaction, and Democrats are suffering in the current midterm.

The new conservative-leaning America makes another Bush candidate much more plausible, and may even reedem the family name in the political eyes of the country.

"If it were up to his father, he would be a candidate," said Jim McGrath, a spokesman for former president Bush Sr.
