WASHINGTON DC (Catholic Online) - Herman Cain remarked, "When a reporter asked me the other day: Well, what do you think about those demonstrations up on Wall Street? I said, first of all, Wall Street didn't write these failed economic policies, the White House did." He added, "Why don't you move the demonstrations to the White House?"

The Value Voters Summit is a three-day conference attended by conservatives who agree on traditional ideas, beliefs, and values. Also attending the summit, where Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and Newt Gingrich.

Cain continued in his remarks, "Wall Street didn't write those failed policies, Wall Street didn't spend a trillion dollars. Wall Street isn't asking to spend another $450 billion. It didn't work with a trillion. It's not going to work with $450 billion. You can demonstrate all you want on Wall Street. The problem is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!"

He also called upon people to "abolish" the government referring to the Declaration of Independence and the Obama administration.

Herman Cain who has never held a high political office, but has worked for years as the CEO of a large corporation, Godfather's Pizza, reassured voters that he knew what his responsibilities would be as a leader, and that he would be able to fill them.

He also reassured voters that he believed in traditional values, emphasizing that he is a pro-life candidate, and that he also values traditional marriage as defined between one man and one woman. He pledged to ask the Department of Justice to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, something the Obama administration is not doing.

Cain has been enjoying a surge in popularity which began after the Republican presidential debates in Florida, three weeks ago. In addition to a strong performance in that debate, he has also polled strongly in that region and is now gaining in nationwide polls. Meanwhile, Texas Governor, Rick Perry has been dropping, while Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney seems to have made up some of the ground lost to Perry. Just a month ago the race which appeared to be Perry's to lose, is now a three-way dead heat between Perry, Romney and Cain.

The candidates have just a few months left to go before the first primaries begin, presumably in early January.
