Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
Judie Brown: Planned Parenthood Never the April Fool-Until Now!

A Live Action actor calls 30 Planned Parenthood clinics in 27 different
states, inquiring about mammograms at Planned Parenthood. Every Planned
Parenthood, without exception, tells her she will have to go elsewhere
for a mammogram, and many clinics admit that no Planned Parenthood
clinics provide this breast cancer screening procedure.

WASHINGTON, DC (American Life League) - Over the years, Planned Parenthood and its advocates have attempted to portray the organization as both beneficial and necessary. According to these individuals, people with low incomes would suffer tremendously if Planned Parenthood were not around to help with "health care." But, to anyone who has researched or who has seen current headlines, it is obvious that Planned Parenthood is not concerned with health care or with helping others. Today's commentary examines some of the latest news regarding PP and reiterates the travesty that will result if government funding of this organization continues.
It is rather curious the way some proponents of taxpayer-subsidized sleaze frequently get hoisted on their own petard. Take, for example, the interesting case of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. It has been a forgone conclusion in the public sector for years that Planned Parenthood was the epitome of care and concern for the nation's poor and minority women.
We've all heard the hackneyed claim that for every dollar spent on birth control a great deal more money will be saved on paying for prenatal care and the costs of childbirth.
Another supposedly pro-funding assertion is that Planned Parenthood's prime real estate is located in communities heavily submerged in teen sex and pregnancy because Planned Parenthood is there to serve those very young people. PP supposedly provides these victims of economic negativity with a chance to receive reproductive health services and avoid the possibility of, according to its propaganda, destroying their futures by having babies at very young ages.
And the beat goes on. At every turn there's this mantra of respectability that is supposed to lead the public into accepting as truth the concept that, without Planned Parenthood's presence on the federal dole, misery and suffering would increase rapidly. But once we peel off the transparent layer of gobbledygook and make an honest assessment of the situation, there is no doubt that tax dollars for Planned Parenthood contribute more to poverty, illness and death than anyone would care to admit.
Some shocking facts have been revealed over the past year by Live Action , Stop Planned Parenthood International and others committed to making sure the American taxpayer knows the true nature of Planned Parenthood's so-called services. These recent headlines bear this out far better than any rhetorical exposé ever could.
As a Live Action press release from March 30 states,
"A series of new undercover phone calls reveals that contrary to the claims of Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and other supporters of the nation's largest abortion chain, the organization does not provide mammograms for women.
"In the tapes, a Live Action actor calls 30 Planned Parenthood clinics in 27 different states, inquiring about mammograms at Planned Parenthood. Every Planned Parenthood, without exception, tells her she will have to go elsewhere for a mammogram, and many clinics admit that no Planned Parenthood clinics provide this breast cancer screening procedure. 'We don't provide those services whatsoever,' admits a staffer at Planned Parenthood of Arizona. Planned Parenthood's Comprehensive Health Center clinic in Overland Park, KS, explains to the caller, 'We actually don't have a, um, mammogram machine, at our clinics.'"
Interesting? Shocking? Disturbing? It most certainly is. And, let's put it this way. Any woman who has ever had a mammogram or has raised money for organizations that fight breast cancer, such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, should be wondering what is wrong with this picture. Furthermore, Komen is an ally of Planned Parenthood, claiming that it provides funding to PP for the express purpose of mammogram and other breast screening tests. Why?
If no such tests are even done, what is the money really being used for? Could it be that Komen is naďve or could it be that another agenda is in play? Either way, something is rotten in Planned Parenthood's cupboard.
The latest Live Action revelation is just one more example of how it has come to pass that Congress has blown the whistle on this giant pig at the trough, making it clear that no more tax money need ever go to Planned Parenthood again.
The litany of Planned Parenthood abuses could fill a few books and, in fact, it has. But today, in the USA, there is a chance to put the collective taxpayer foot down and say once and for all: No! We will not fund an organization that protects sexual predators, promotes sex instruction in the classroom, and deceives its client base with faulty data all designed to get the customer in the door-no matter the human cost.
American taxpayers have to stop being the April Fool and expose Planned Parenthood for the anti-family, anti-health organization it really is.
Tell your elected officials today: Just say no to Planned Parenthood!
