Pro-Life Investigator Behind ACORN Sting Operation

O'Keefe has read ACORN's playbook, Saul Alinsky's 'Rules for Radicals' and intends to beat them at their own game.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews.com) - Exposing pro-abortion university health clinics and Planned Parenthood's criminal cover-up of child rape were the first major sting operations of undercover investigator James O'Keefe, who is now famous for exposing the systemic corruption within ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

ACORN is one of the "community organizer" groups closely affiliated with President Barack Obama, which helped him capture the presidency; but the group now has been exposed for having officials willing to abet fraud and child sex trafficking.

James O'Keefe is a 25 year-old Rutgers graduate and a veteran of Live Action films, the group led by UCLA student Lila Rose, 20, which began a series of sting operations in order to uncover a culture of corruption rife within the abortion industry.

In one such operation, O'Keefe placed phone-calls to Planned Parenthood development offices posing as a "donor" requesting that his money be used specifically to abort an African-American child who might someday steal his own child's spot in college through "affirmative action." No staffers hung up the phone, and one was even recorded saying, "We can definitely designate it for an African-American."

In 2007, O'Keefe posed as a 23-year old "boyfriend" accompanying Rose, also posing as his 15-year-old "girlfriend," in another sting that showed a Los Angeles Planned Parenthood staffer offering them advice as to how to arrange for the abortion and cover-up the statutory rape.

Rose later developed this operation into a nationwide sting in which she showed that Planned Parenthood staffers were willing to cover up the statutory rape of 14 year-old girl by her 30-year-old boyfriend.

But for O'Keefe, taking on the organization that helped bring President Barack Obama to power may be his biggest journalistic coup, following the Planned Parenthood operations.

Having donned the garb of a fur-coated "pimp" looking to raise money for political ambitions and accompanied by 20-year-old Hannah Giles dressed as a prostitute, O'Keefe asked ACORN officials how to evade the IRS and acquire an illegal housing loan in order to set up a brothel. The undercover journalists told ACORN officials that they were being "discriminated against" because banks like Wells Fargo did not want to give them a loan.

But O'Keefe and Giles upped the ante on the sting by telling ACORN workers that they were looking to import at least ten child prostitutes from El Salvador - human trafficking in child prostitutes.

ACORN officials volunteered their help, giving the pair detailed legal instructions and practical tips on dodging detection by neighbors, the police, and the IRS, while running their prostitution business.

Giles writes in Andrew Breitbart's "Big Government" blog that she and O'Keefe took their sting operation to the West Coast to prove that the corruption in ACORN was systemic, and not just in Baltimore, D.C., and New York City. Giles and O'Keefe said they used the scientific method to structure the operation: first ask a question, do background research, construct a hypothesis, experiment (4 cities and counting), analyze and draw a conclusion.

As a result of O'Keefe and Giles' investigations, the US Census Bureau has dropped ACORN as a partner in collecting US census data. ACORN may also find itself facing an investigation under Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statutes.

ACORN has fired four employees so far, but instead of admitting its own practices were at fault, the organization has now claimed that the videos were somehow doctored and that O'Keefe and Giles committed a felony through their sting operation.

O'Keefe, however, has also read ACORN's playbook, Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," and intends to beat the group at their own game.

"Bring it on," filmmaker James O'Keefe said Sunday on FOX News, promising more videos of systemic ACORN corruption.

Which means O'Keefe will be following Rule Eight of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals": "Keep the pressure on. Never let up."
