Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

WASHINGTON, DC (LifeSiteNews) - A campaign launched by several pro-life leaders has recently received media attention for its simple message: Those who vote for Obama vote to fund unlimited abortions with their own tax dollars.
The campaign, formed by Operation Rescue, Christian Defense Coalition, and Christians for Social Justice, greets visitors to its website with an image of Obama superimposed on the traditional Uncle Sam image: "Obama wants you." Those who click to enter the site find the other half of the message: "Obama wants you to pay for abortion!" (http://www.obamawantsyou.com)
The website dedicates several pages and brief, total proof video clips exposing Obama's own words that reveal his radical views on "reproductive rights," such as his avowal to pass the Freedom of Choice Act, a radical pro-abortion measure that would void all state restrictions on abortion, including partial-birth abortion.
Rev. Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition told LifeSiteNews (LSN), "We felt that it was important for people to have a resource" as many are still unaware of the extreme abortion policies of the Democratic presidential nominee.Mahoney explained that, at the Democratic National Convention, "We talked to numerous delegates who were completely unaware of Sen. Obama's view on abortion."
"I mean, the delegates would actually come up and tell us that he was pro-life," he said.
Rev. Mahoney said that they had been contacted repeatedly by the Obama campaign, who said the website was "divisive" and promoted the wrong kind of discourse. However, Mahoney noted that the national news media has confirmed that "reproductive rights" are to be part of Obama's nationalized healthcare plan - which would be funded by American taxpayer dollars.
President of Operation Rescue Troy Newman explained that it is critical to spread the message of Obama's abortion extremism, because while either candidate has a solid block of voters in their own party, they are both struggling to win over moderate voters who haven't yet formed an alliance.
"It's going to depend on the people in the middle," said Newman. "Demographically, the people in the middle do not believe that their tax funds should go to pay for abortion. We've well documented the case in Obama's own words that prove he's on the extreme end." He said the site has already received feedback from people who had been unaware of Obama's position on abortion.
Newman also mentioned that the site was called "racist" for spoofing the white Uncle Sam with Obama's visage, a charge he called "ridiculous."
"It was Martin Luther King who said that people should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin," he said, "and I think just judging Obama by his own words is ample amount of information not to vote for the man, no matter what color he is."
The website's "Political Satire" link contains many of the most talked about cartoons and brief video items on Senator Obama. CAUTION: One link on the website, "What is an Abortion", contains the most explicit video of an abortion that one is ever likely ever to see. It reveals that brutal truth about abortion but some may find the video too difficult to endure.
