LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Donald Trump will be sworn into office using a Bible his mother gifted him when he finished Sunday Church Primary School at First Presbyterian Church in New York, 1955, which bears his name etched into the cover.
The other Bible Trump will be placing his hand on the same one Abraham Lincoln used during his first inauguration as President of the United States.
The historic Bible was also used by U.S. President Barack Obama when he was sworn into office both in 2008 and 2012.
Presidential Inauguration Committee Chairman Tom Barrack announced: "In his first inaugural address, President Lincoln appealed to the 'better angles of our nature.'
"As he takes the same oath of office 156 years later, President-elect Trump is humbled to place his hand on Bibles that hold special meaning both to his family and to our country."
Trump's personal Bible is the same used on the campaign trail.
Before the Iowa caucuses, he held the Bible and stated: "I really appreciate the support given to me by the evangelicals. They've been incredible. Every poll says how well I'm doing with them."
He shared his mother gave him the Bible "many years ago," adding: "In fact, it's her writing right here. She wrote the name and my address and it's just very special to me.
In the September 2015 Values Voters Summit, Trump also brandished the Bible and stated: "I brought my Bible. You know, it's the First Presbyterian Church, Jamaica, and this was written by my mother, with my name, with my address, with everything. I saw this and I had to bring it."
