Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to the Mirror, ISIS has called its followers to refrain from casting a vote and stated they "have come to slaughter you and smash your ballot boxes."
The FBI has been keeping an eye out for possible attacks as several threats from the group have been released over its social media account and terror magazine.
With news of al-Qaeda planning to strike Texas, New York and Virginia, the United States has been even more vigilant.
In an essay to the public, the terror group wrote there is no difference between either the Republican or Democratic parties in the United States since each has "policies against Islam and Muslims."
One source told CBS News: "The counterterrorism and homeland security communities remain vigilant and well-postured to defend against attacks here in the United States.
"The FBI, working with our federal, state and local counterparts, shares and assesses intelligence on a daily basis and will continue to work closely with law enforcement and intelligence community partners to identify and disrupt any potential threat to public safety."
There is much controversy surrounding election day, with many questioning whether there will be terrorist attacks, hackers accessing and changing votes or worse.
The Department of Homeland Security continues to scan election systems for vulnerabilities and Cyber security experts have joined with U.S. officials to announce the changes of a successful hack are low.
Though the voting machines are not usually connected to the internet and are cause for little concern, the FBI has been sending flash alerts to several states after detecting voter registration fraud.
The presidential campaign has created a divide within the Republican party, Democrat party, friends, families and more.
Violence has broken out several times and officials have upped security measures to ensure a safe election day.
