SHOCKING study: Trump is RIGHT - America is not great anymore

The US is in a state of decline.

What makes America the greatest country in the world? Pretty much nothing, it turns out. A study from the London-based Legatum Institute reveals that Donald Trump has been right all along. America isn't great and we're not winning.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - A study by the London-based Legatum Institute reveals that the United States is lagging behind in freedom and in other important metrics. Many Americans assume we're a great country because of our freedom, high standard of living and our political dominance. However, these are myths according to the latest research.

Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump has been criticized for his campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again." Detractors claim the country is great, but they cannot define by what standard. The sad reality is, America is a nation in decline. Our political elites continue to raid the public coffers to pad their living while the rest of us make do with less. Now it's starting to show.

Overall, the United States is the 11th top country in the world. The list of countries that top the U.S. overall are:

Norway, which ranked number 1, Switzerland, Denmark, New Zealand, Sweden, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Finland, Ireland and the United States comes in at the 11th spot.

Economy: rank 11
Opportunity: 11
Governance: 11
Education: 9
Health: 1
Personal Freedom: 15
And Social capital: 11

Health is surprising given how poorly Americans eat and how little we exercise, but our incredible spending on the industry has this one upside. 

But the most frightening and alarming statistic is where the United States ranks in Safety and Security.

The USA ranks 33rd on security. This low rating is surprising since the U.S. spends more than any other nation on this category. In fact, U.S. expenditures on defense, safety and security are so high they exceed the spending of China, Russia, Japan, India and all of NATO combined.

We have a 1.4 trillion dollar fighter jet. But it is unclear how this weapon, assuming it works as advertised, keeps you safe at night from more mundane threats like home invasions, muggings, domestic violence, and so on. ;48 7*634;) ;89.05( It may be possible however, with enough investigation, to determine who made the most money from the project. Surely someone benefited, just not you who paid for it.

The study included 142 countries around the world. At the bottom of the list are Haiti (140), Afghanistan (141), and the Central African Republic (142). Notably, Syria came in at 136. Russia ranked 55.

Communist China ranked 3 in economy, compared to the U.S. at 11. Socialist Denmark also beats the U.S. at a rank of 9. Sweden, with six hour workdays, high taxes, and generous welfare programs ranks 7 in economy.
