We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Texas is taking another step to becoming an independent Republic by recalling its gold and other precious metals home. A private company is planning to construct a bullion depository south of Houston, creating a virtual Ft. Knox for the state.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - A private corporation, Texas Precious Metals, has plans to construct a bullion depository in Texas for the storage of precious metals. According to the company, residents of the state hold millions of dollars of precious metals in other states and in banks, and pay over millions per year to these institutions simply to hold the bullion. Bringing that bullion home would keep that money in Texas.

The state of Texas alone stores its bullion in New York, and pays $1 million per year for the privilege.

The new facility would cost $20 million and be built on 40 acres of land in the community of Shiner, 250 miles south of Ft. Worth Texas. The facility could be built within the next year or two at most.

While nobody associated with the plan has mentioned secession, such a move does increase Texas' autonomy and financial independence. Texans are fundamentally conservative people who prefer a high degree of personal freedom and responsibility.

Holding their own bullion is a move in the right direction for the state's autonomy and is in the best interest of its people.
