'I am aware of no connection between that organization and Justice Scalia.'

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was discovered dead on a Texas ranch on February 13, but what was he doing there? John Poindexter, the man who owned the ranch and discovered Scalia's body that morning, is a leader in a secretive Catholic-based Order in which Scalia was a member.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Members of the Catholic-based elite hunters society International Order of Saint Hubertus, were together at the West Texas ranch Justice Scalia was discovered dead.

According to The Washington Post, thirty-five members of the exclusive order were rooming at the resort, owned by John Poindexter, a known leader of the Order.

Members often wear forest green robes emblazoned with a Germanic cross and the words "Honoring God by honoring His creatures" written in Latin.

The secretive group keeps its details secret, with Poindexter going as far as sending an email to officials reading: "There is nothing I can add to your observation that among my many guests at Cibolo Creek Ranch over the years some members of the International Order of St. Hubertus have been numbered. I am aware of no connection between that organization and Justice Scalia."

He later told reporters that he initially met Scalia at a "sports group" gathering in Washington.

According to its website, the Order "was a knightly order" dedicated to promoting hunting and the conservation of game animals the activity relied upon and called the practice "among the highest activities a gentleman could pursue."

There was no mention of Justice Scalia.

Scalia's body was discovered in his bed that February morning with a pillow over his face. Rumors of murder quickly spread, but according to Daily Mail, a sheriff's incident report that was released Tuesday indicated there was "nothing out of the ordinary."

The pillow was not discovered "over his face" in a way that would impair breathing and he was not connected to his necessary sleep apnea machine.

His son, Eugene, believes there is "no doubt" that Justice Scalia passed away due to natural causes.
