Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

San Bernadino shooting is just the first of many ISIS attacks we can expect.

America has just been struck with an ISIS-inspired terror attack. The realization is dawning on officials this morning following a social media proclamation by ISIS praising the attackers as "lions." There appears to have been two shooters involved, a husband and wife couple, who were devout Muslims. They gave no indication they were about to start a bloody rampage. They may have filmed the entire incident.

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - No question remains that the shootings at the San Bernardino Regional Center which left 14 dead and 17 wounded, were terrorism. The shooters have been identified as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, 27, both from foreign born Muslim families.

Police have partially reconstructed their movements that day. Farook, was employed as a health inspector and attended the Christmas party at the San Bernardino Regional Center that was being held for county employees. At some point, he had a disagreement and left angrily. He returned home and joining with his wife, and possibly one other person, they took their six-month-old baby daughter to a grandparent's house, saying they had a doctor's appointment.

After that, they prepared for their rampage, possibly wearing Go-Pro cameras to record the violence. They dressed in black tactical gear and body armor. They then proceeded to shoot over 30 people, killing 14 and wounding 17 others.

They fled the scene with Malik driving and Farook shooting at police, and were seen throwing pipe bombs from their black SUV in an effort to throw off police. Eventually, they were halted on a residential street and a standoff ensued with police firing into their vehicle. Both Farook and Malik were killed. A third, unidentified suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended and is in custody. It is unclear if the third person, who has not been identified, was involved in the massacre.

Following this incident, the Islamic State issued a statement saying, "Three lions made us proud today." They made other posts, referring to America turning into hell and used the hashtag, "#America_Burning."

Co-workers have described Farook as devout, but quiet. He was not one to talk about his religion. Farook was a U.S. citizen. His wife came from Saudi Arabia. The ATF has discovered the weapons used in the rampage, two handgun and two assault rifles, were all legally purchased in the U.S.

A neighbor also told the media that he observed half-a-dozen Middle-Eastern males visiting the family during the previous week, and that he found the visit suspicious, but he did not report anything because he was afraid of being labeled as a racist. It is unknown who those men were or if their visit was somehow related to the incident.

Police are continuing their investigation this morning. There is concern this could be the start of an ISIS campaign in the United States. It is unknown how many ISIS terrorists and sympathizers there are in the United States aside from the one in the Oval Office who helped to arm the organization. It is believed that authorities have at least 1,000 people under watch and about 71 have been detained and questioned for ties to the organization, as of yesterday. Unfortunately, we can rest assured, this is only the beginning.

Farook and Malik were not on any watch list.
