LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The Popemobile provided Pope Francis free access, as he often requests, to all the excited people lining the streets. This vehicle is made with an open design to allow the Pope to be more visible.

Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, joined Pope Francis during the parade. This event became the second time Cardinal Donald Wuerl welcomed a Pope to Washington.

Along the parade, Pope Francis called for a guard to bring forward two infants, as he kissed the infants' head, blessing them. Further along the parade, a young girl was allowed to approach Pope Francis, embracing him and handing him a flag.

The energetic crowd of layers and layers of people of all ages cheered on Pope Francis the entire route, as he continuously waved with the biggest and brightest smile.
