AMC takes action against recent violent attacks at movie theaters.

A unusual video message is being played at AMC Theaters in Central Florida, urging the audience to keep their eyes open to any bad agendas and malicious or suspicious actions within the establishment. The short film came to be after violent incidents inside movie theaters have unfolded, including some massacre shootings. Some moviegoers appreciated the warning clip, but some have raised further questions on its efficiency.

Highlights

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "It's a good message to send because there has been a lot of problems with movie theater shootings and stuff," said Brittany Cavallo, as cited in Clickorlando.com. Another commented that the AMC Theater's management is doing a good job on making people feel protected and actually acting on a safety and security issues.

Just last Thursday, 2 people were killed, while 9 are injured, after a shooting spree inside a movie theater in Louisiana. AMC is trying to make people aware of their surroundings, despite seeking entertainment because of such tragic events.

However, not everyone raises their thumbs up on the advertisement and have raised questions on whether it will really work. According to a Lenore McHugh, her friend was just at a cinema and noticed a fairly suspicious man, but was not able to do anything about it.

She said that her friend considered the possibility that the man would notice her suspicion; he was seated above her, so they left and ran out of the theater afraid. "So in that case, what do you do?" she asked.

Many are hoping that the advertisement is just the first step on security, safety and awareness for moviegoers.

"I think it's good to make people aware because some people just go in the theater, sit down and they are not aware of what's going on around them because they're just looking forward," added McHugh.
