Who left these notes and why?

After finding mysterious handwritten notes taped outside their homes, residents from a community in East Dallas, Texas expressed feeling uneasy. Although the police explained they don't have anything left to investigate over the strange event, they promise to stay vigilant until the individual returns.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - According to The Blaze, the notes contained the statement, "My name is Jesus." The brief messages then cited various Bible references, mostly from the New Testament in books of Mark and Luke.

Residents felt increasingly off with the concluding words, "The end of the world is near."

Bob Rosen, one of the residents, expressed he found the "strange" note taped outside his home Wednesday morning. "I felt slightly violated, maybe mildly threatened. I didn't know why someone would be sharing this with me and pointing out the end of the world is near. It could be perfectly innocent. But it's strange," said the bothered resident in an interview with the KTVT-TV.

Residents explained that they initially thought people were taping the notes for a different reason. Some thought the culprit might be a burglar canvassing the area to see which houses had people in them and which were vacant.

Rosen noted he originally thought it was one of his neighbors complaining about his dog barking, according to the CBS Local.

However, the cryptic message was written in a very strange font. None of the neighbors on the same street received a note, however, several others within the area reportedly found a similar note taped outside their doors.

Christine Smith, who lives in East Dallas, said the note definitely made her feel unsafe.

Dallas Police advised the residents to stay vigilant, as there was nothing really left for the police to do regarding the case.
