MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - After the burial, the local rioters began looting stores.

During coverage, Petula Dvorak, columnist for the Washington Post was shoved to the ground and her phone was stolen.

Chris Assaf, photo editor for the Baltimore Sun, reported he was beaten by the looters after getting tackled.

CNN's Oliver Janney was also robbed of his phone and his nose broken, like Reporter Connor Wolf, after being "jumped."

In a tweeted photo, a cameraman for the CCTV America was pictured with blood flowing down his face, reporting he was attacked by the riot participants. The cameraman also claimed the protesters had took his camera away.

Reporter Casey Harper got his cheekbone fractured from being hit with a liquor bottle.

Reporter Steve Dorsey of the WNEW-FM was punched by a rioter in the face; his phone was also stolen.

The havoc caused the burning of 15 buildings and 144 vehicles and countless forms of human harassment.

Although journalist attacks and harassment are not unique to the Baltimore riots, they suggested working in groups to prevent more damage. Most of the assaults were because the rioters did not want to be photographed while committing crimes, according to National Press Photographers Association executive director Chip Deale.
